News on Gigwise today has revealed that the boy who appeared on Placebo’s 1996 debut album is apparently suing the band for bullying he received after featuring on the album’s cover. Only took him 16 years to sue; out to make money comes to mind!

Linkin Park – New Album ‘Living Things’

Linkin Park have just announced on their Facebook page that their new album will be released on 26th June and will be entitled ‘Living Things’.

They have also announced a new single ‘Burn It Down’ which is available over on the band’s offcial website: LinkinPark.com

Metallica for Download

It was announced today that Metallica are the first of the three acts confirmed to headline next year’s Download Festival; taking place the 8th -10th June.

To celebrate the festival’s 10th anniversary Metallica will be performing their 1991 album ‘The Black Album’ in it’s entirety.

In other news a new Green Day track aired online earlier in the week after they performed it at their San Francisco show on November 1st.

The new song ‘Carpe Diem’ can be heard below:

In other news Limp Bizkit and Evaline both released albums on Monday. Limp Bizkit’s Gold Cobra is the group at their best with every song surpassing their previous effort and Evaline’s Woven Material has been worth the wait with favourites such as Beneath the Fire and Hours being featured.

A plethora of music news

Haven’t done a blog post for a while as have been home for christmas so apologies.

Firstly Linkin Park are among the first three acts to be confirmed for this year’s iTunes festival, to be held at Camden’s Roundhouse, London.

The US band will play on 4th July with support to be announced nearer the time. The two other confirmed acts are 80s legends Duran Duran and new artist Rumer.

In other news Green Day are to release a live album entitled: Awesome as Fuck sometime in March. The setlist is as yet unknown but the CD will showcase songs from their recent world tour for 21st Century Breakdown and will also include a DVD of different shows.

Thought to be the final instalment in the ‘he said, she said’ Paramore saga, MTV aired an interview with the remaining members last Friday (January 7), where the Farro brothers exit amongst other things were discussed. Linkin Park’s new album

Linkin Park have revealed that their fourth studio album is set to be released on September 13th titled ‘A Thousand Suns’.

The tour will follow with the November dates including London’s O2 on 10th and 11th. However be quick as the 10th is already sold out and there are only seats left for the 11th.

Linkin Park announce new tour

Linkin Park will return in November for a tour that is said to be a “transformative multi-media experience, blending our songs and art and featuring never-before-seen visual technology.” More information can be seen here on Kerrang!’s website.

They will play:

04 Manchester, MEN Arena
09 Birmingham, LG Arena
10 London, O2 Arena

Tickets will go on sale this Friday (18th) June at 9am.

Remember 30 Seconds to Mars tickets are also on sale Friday at 9am.
