A plethora of music news

January 11, 2011 at 5:00 pm (Music News, Music Videos) (, , , , , , , , , , , , )

Haven’t done a blog post for a while as have been home for christmas so apologies.

Firstly Linkin Park are among the first three acts to be confirmed for this year’s iTunes festival, to be held at Camden’s Roundhouse, London.

The US band will play on 4th July with support to be announced nearer the time. The two other confirmed acts are 80s legends Duran Duran and new artist Rumer.

You can apply for the free tickets here:

In other news Green Day are to release a live album entitled: Awesome as Fuck sometime in March. The setlist is as yet unknown but the CD will showcase songs from their recent world tour for 21st Century Breakdown and will also include a DVD of different shows.

Thought to be the final instalment in the ‘he said, she said’ Paramore saga, MTV aired an interview with the remaining members last Friday (January 7), where the Farro brothers exit amongst other things were discussed. Kerrang! are showing the full interview over on their website. Click here to hear what Hayley had to say.

And finally thought i’d post a fantastic video of Devlin’s new track, Let it Go, a new artist from Essex that is set for a successful year this year:

Paramore departures turn sour

December 22, 2010 at 10:13 pm (Music News) (, , , )

The latest news to come to light since the Farro brothers left is that the “band became all about Hayley” and that she had a manager dictating her every move.

The full story is over on Rolling Stone.

Makes you question who to believe; did the brothers simply have enough and leave to explore new paths or has Miss Williams got slightly too big for her boots and is wanting it all to be about her?

Think it is just a matter of time before Paramore dissolve altogether and Hayley goes solo, will however be a great shame as Paramore are truely a great band; which other band has a female singer with a voice that powerful…none!

Tonight hosted this year’s Relentless Energy Drink Kerrang! Awards which saw a few surprise winners and few patently obvious ones along the way.

The full list can be seen here:, just happy Lostprophets walked away with something eventhough I am sure people will think it an odd choice. Also well done to Paramore, a well deserved win.
