Deftones and Placebo album news

Placebo have signed a worldwide licensing deal with Universal Music Germany meaning a EP in October and a new album next year are in the pipeline.

In other news Deftones are set to release a new album on November 12th entitled ‘Koi No Yokan’.

Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Deftones – News

Red Hot Chili Peppers are to play an intimate one-off show at London’s Koko for Radio 1 on 2nd September and are offering the chance for you to be there yourself.

Follow the link on Radio 1’s website to register for tickets, however you only have until 7pm on Sunday (21st) to enter.

The official video to their first single ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’ is now also available to watch online. Taken from their forthcoming album ‘I’m With You’, released on 29th August, the single sees the band on a rooftop in California with Flea still as energetic as ever.


In other news it has been reported that there is to be a Nirvana exhibition held in London to commemorate 20 years since the release of ‘Nevermind’. Fans are also being asked to contribute anything that they think would be of value to add to the collection which can be viewed in East London at The Loading Bay Gallery on Brick Lane.

Rock Sound’s top 75 albums of 2010

Rock Sound have been counting down the best 75 albums released this year and have now revealed the top 15.

At number one is Bring Me The Horizon with Deftone’s Diamond Eyes coming in at number two. Deftones in my opinion should have been given the top spot, their album is truely phenomenal and they are one of the best bands I have seen live, eventhough I did get crushed.
