Literally the best news of the year….Placebo are set to return to the studio to record a new album next year!

It follows a two year tour that saw them start in December 2008 playing in 44 countries with 143 shows, all ending at Brixton Academy on the 28th September 2010. A show that made it to the newly released dvd ‘We Come In Pieces’.

Speaking to Billboard.com Stefan Olsdal revealed that the band are still recovering and will start as soon as Brian and co. are properly rested. He stated: “The shape and sound of the next album will be decided when we get back together.
