Jane’s Addiction – Irresistible Force

August 30, 2011 at 6:44 pm (Music Videos) (, , , )

Jane’s Addiction have released the brand new video to their latest single, ‘Irresistible Force’, to be taken from their forthcoming album ‘The Great Escape Artist’ which is out 4th October.

The song does seem a departure from their usual sound so will be interesting to see what the album sounds like, although it does feature an impressive solo from Navarro (which is never a bad thing).

Just a reminder that if like me you wish you were at Reading or Leeds Festival right now instead of being bored at home, then you can watch coverage through Radio 1’s website. Although not every band’s performance is available to watch there is a fair few from across all stages over the 3 days.

August 18, 2011 at 11:51 pm (Music News, Music Videos) (, , , , , , , , )

Red Hot Chili Peppers are to play an intimate one-off show at London’s Koko for Radio 1 on 2nd September and are offering the chance for you to be there yourself.

Follow the link on Radio 1’s website to register for tickets, however you only have until 7pm on Sunday (21st) to enter.

The official video to their first single ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’ is now also available to watch online. Taken from their forthcoming album ‘I’m With You’, released on 29th August, the single sees the band on a rooftop in California with Flea still as energetic as ever.

In other news it has been reported that there is to be a Nirvana exhibition held in London to commemorate 20 years since the release of ‘Nevermind’. Fans are also being asked to contribute anything that they think would be of value to add to the collection which can be viewed in East London at The Loading Bay Gallery on Brick Lane.

Digital Spy has the full story.

Here’s my favourite Nirvana song, ‘You Know You’re Right’ :

And finally one last video:

It’s the new one from Deftones; ‘Beauty School’ taken from their phenomenal album ‘Diamond Eyes’,  which has become one of my all time favourite albums.
