Government’s response to ticket touting

February 24, 2010 at 3:15 pm (Music News) ()

A year since a petition was signed to try and regulate ticket touts and this illegal market the Government have finally released a response.

Basically the document says that the Government have no plans to stop ticket touts buying in bulk and then re-selling them at a ridiculously higher price nor do they intend to cap tickets at a price that people can actually afford.

This decision has a taken a year!

What is the point of petitions if most of the time the Government don’t listen, 668 people tried to make their voice heard and signed this petition, now seems a waste of time.
